NEW YEAR 2015

A new year always means new possibilities. Actually every day has the same promise, but when a new year starts there is a special energy that is worth taking care of and sharing.

Just came home from a fantastic road trip with my love and our three dogs.
We drove from Hoby Mosse, Skåne, Sweden where we live down to Rome, Italy and back! We stopped in Germany, Austria and saw a lot of Italy.

Made stops all along the way and saw so many wonderful sights, heard sounds and tasted food of sorts I never tasted before.

Love discovering the world with my loved ones. Driving in our own pace and stopping where ever we like for as long as we wished is amazing!

You can follow the trip me made and see what inspires me at #jimmyschonninghem which is my Instagram tag.

2014 gave so much and I want to thank everyone that contributed to making it such a remarkable year.

On that note I want send out a shout saying that our TV3 Sweden production of Husräddarna that I wrote here on the blog about will return as a short reminder of all 7 programs with links so that you can see all the shows and find them here from the blog so that you are ready for the
NEW SEASON of 2015 when it will be broadcast in the fall. We are now in the making of the very first episodes and we have so much to give and surprises to offer!

       Happy New 2015!

Seasons door greetings

Making the entrance have the right December feeling makes coming home even better.

M O S S  -  I find it if I just walk out the door. Love it.

A seasons greetings welcome. Entering the house starts outside before you reach the entrance so I want it to say
W E L C O M E to us in Hoby MOSSE

Elder tree branches have a certain way of growing and they are my favorites. Put in a clear demijohn. We use the french word in Swedish for demijohn which is damejeanne.

Those of you who saw HR where I made this garland of sticks made from spruce and pine. I use the same kind here here to decorate my mini tree. Here is a link to the TV program

Use what you love. I love the sea and sea stars look really Christmas like in my eyes.  This kind anyway.

Blue spruce is my preferred greenery when it comes to a wreath. I did not make this. I bought it and hung it on my stable door that stays open at all times.

Oat sheaf for the birds ( and because they are so beautiful ) A lantern to light at night. A red basked became a hat for a tree...Hmm... I know...Like it this far.

Will go out and find some moss to decorate with.

World Aids Day

First of December means World Aids Day. Awareness is the key to being able to help. Our pendant lamp Soomkai is made by hand in Thailand and gives back to Thailand with help of the head Monk of the Temple that is outside of Lopburi that we met 2 years ago, where he has created a organization that cares for all people with HIV status.
We will go again and personally deliver the profit from the Soomkai lamp.
HERE YOU CAN READ ABOUT THE FIRST
MEETING AT THE TEMPLE.

ENJOY ADVENT

I LOVE X-mas traditions and this is what I choose for the first advent weekend.

Favorite scents
Hyacinth, green moss and  white&black stones and quail eggs (emptied)

Oranges pinned with cloves (with or without ribbons) and apples.

LOVE the easy way
Wooden trays that flowershops keep make for a perfect arrangement. Fill with hyacinth and green moss. Add christmas deco on top for a table setting with the right feel.

A heart from branches with one or two ornaments.

Large cinamon and more oranges with cloves tied with black ribbons.

Apples painted with egg whites and powdered with icing suger
makes the apples look like the just came in from a snowy tree.

The scent of hyacinth is Christmas to me.

A small X mas tree made from branches of pine
glued with a glue gun to a paper towel roll

The scent of cloves mixed with oranges makes X-mas.
