Final Stable update

FINALLY we found the right place for what I learned was a device to hang bottles to dry. 
We use it as a hanger. Special hook deluxe!

LOOOOVE IT!!

All the DemiJohns found their corner. So nice to have them gathered again. 

The sidetable we built for the kitchen got the yellow fever as well and the former hatch from the shed is now art on the wall. Life is good!

We had this door and the whole fence surrounding the garden built this spring. Already it looks like it has been here a long time. 

Out of the last planks from the shed we made a sidetable on wheels. The low metal cart on wheels is on of those from the supermarket large trolleys used to load merchandise. Love the look of these planks and that they are such good wood with that flaky paint exterior.

Must say I´m really happy with all this colors that come together so well. We have created a small cuban cottage feel in our home.

Put a cork in it

I just got a hand made wooden horse from a artist friend that I was looking where to place at home. 

The horse is laying down, not standing up so not so easy to find the right spot for. 

The Dutch designer  Fredrik Roijé has created the Treasure table that would be the perfect spot for it. It´s made from glass with a cork to seal the table top. 

Great for the home exhibit with that extra touch and still a piece of furniture with 

a good use.

Stable update 3

Color proved great for the Stable. So much good energy coming our way due to this infusion.

Painting moved on to the shelves in the kitchen. Yellow is contagious.

....then some of the supporting beams got the yellow fever as well.  NOT all. But a few selected ones. The inside ivy is really doing well.

We finally got the stairs down to the lawn and the front balcony done.


 It does wonders for the feeling of the house to feel completed and for the summer life it is amazing. The dogs like it too...

Shell striped by Paul

Hans J Wegner designed the  shell chair in 1963 but it took over 30 years for it to be a true hit.
This now iconic three legged wonder has now been striped by Paul Smith and received other looks and textiles from Maharam . It was made for the 50th anniversary of this popular rounded veneer  seat that also usually can be seen in leather at Danish Carl Hansen & søn that produce and sell it worldwide.

Paul Smith signature design stripes we know well. This world map is Paul Smith design for Maharam as well. Look at the close up underneath and see what the world is constructed of in this textile art by Paul Smith.

Maharam was founded in 1902 by Louis Maharam, a Russian immigrant. Through the generations, Maharam evolved from a source of theatrical textiles for costume and set design in the 1940s to a pioneer of performance-driven textiles for commercial interiors in the '60s.

Hoby Mosse Stable update

Terry wants each day to start with a good long powerwalk so do I.

Back to updating what has happened this summer at our Stable conversion in 

Hoby Mosse. 

I started telling you about the old shed that first became the stove casing that you can see here 

Using the the planks again from the old shed,  we built the doors for the cupboard/wardrobe up in the bedroom. 

Started with the two shelves and the LED lighting strip that when the doors will be closed gives a soft side light and when the doors are open sheds perfect light for you to find all you need easier. 

Leaving space underneath enough so that the vacuum fits, not creating a dust area that you can not reach. Hate those!

 The flaky uneven paint gives a door with so much life. aDOORe it!! Ha ha....

Two doors in place. 

Now all doors are but in place. Perfect! 

The slanting ceiling gives just perfect room for this kind of low cupboards. Prior to building this we could not use this space to anything really. 

Terry think it´s really boring when we spend so much time inside when it´s so lovely outside.

Yellow entered the Stable for sure in the form of chairs outside as well as the aloe vera that bloomed yellow.  

Painted the wall by the stairs primary yellow and the stairs a  camo green that works well with the cabinets/cupboards.
