House of Palladium

Walked in to a for me new store called House of Palladium here in Lund, Skåne. Seen from the outside, you can tell it has been a movie theatre once. 

Welcomed by cosy seating and a rattan style of chair I like.  I walk in to the store and walk around and find that they have Watt&Veke lamps and lots of wonderful interior things. So I think to myself, Soomkai would fit here...I walk up and ask : I see that you have light fixtures from Watt&Veke, -why do you not have Soomkai since you like the rattan&bamboo? 

- The woman in charge of the store looks at me and points at the entrance from which I came. 

There in  a beautiful round room with a metall wallpaper from Mr Perswall I like, Soomkai soared above my head. 
How lovely!

We have a meeting on Thursday at House of Palladium. Will get back with more pictures from this wonderful store.

See and hear the beautiful Ann Persson talk with me and her husband photographer Per Magnus Persson about how we came up with the idea of creating and producing the pendant lamp Soomkai, before it was taken in under Watt&veke´s wings. 

Ann found the people with the right knowledge and experience to hand make the bamboo lamp shade and now 4 years later it is still being hand made by qualified craftsmen in Thailand. 

The most wonderful part in this whole project is the charity that you can read about here, if you did not know that 10% of the profit goes to an HIV Orphanage outside of Lopburi, Thailand and we see to it personally that the help provided by the lovers and buyers of Soomkai lands in the right hands, then you know now.

The fence from the outside. 
It does wonders for the Stable in framing it in and the feeling is of more privacy in the garden. 


This picture below was just before the tree got green. The new fence&seating is a real succsess!

Jimmy´s motorsaw experience

This is the first time ever using a motorsaw after having my lessons with master Erik Hjärtfors of Lövsjö Loghouse. Must say I like it. Love the fact that it is battery driven and NO CORD and NO GASOLIN.

I like my first Husqvarna.
