These beautiful red flowers (over the palmtree) belong to a tree I see everywhere here in Florianopolis, Brazil. They hang over the roads we travel on and I see them in gardens. Wanting to know the name of the tree I asked around but got no answer. Finally a well dressed Paulista (you call people from Sao Paulo - Paulista) that spoke very good english told me - It´s typical of you Europeans to have to know everything. Why do you need to know the name. It´s simply a beautiful tree.
